there is a problem with your VAT registration number

Please help, Amazon suddenly rejected my VAT number ( it used to be valid for 2 years). We checked VIES website and it clearly shows that our VAT number is valid!

It has come to our attention that there is a problem with your VAT registration number. The VAT Information Exchange System (VIES) from the European Commission has concluded that your VAT registration number *******85NH is invalid and as a result, your VAT registration number has been declined. If you are enrolled in the VAT Calculation Service (VCS), you will no longer be able to use this service until you provide a valid VAT number. While VCS is de-activated, you must create and provide VAT invoices for this country yourself.

Review your VAT number details in your VAT/GST Registration Numbers page at https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/tax/registrations for any errors and re-submit.

If you have any further questions, please contact your local Tax authority for additional information regarding the invalid status of your VAT registration number.
