Selling on Amazon Things To Know | Overview | Part 1 of 4
Welcome to our 4 part series about Selling on Amazon. Now that you have read your Amazon seller agreement and associated policies and guidelines, we want to give you additional information that is key to selling successfully on Amazon.
We find that new sellers on Amazon often bring with them their experiences with other selling services and assume that all seller services work the same. They might think that there's no need to pay much attention to the details in your seller agreement and the program policies and guidelines. As a result, we receive communications from sellers that begin with "I didn't know I was supposed to...".
We don't want you to find yourself in that position, so we are presenting you with some of the things that are most commonly overlooked by new sellers.

I didn't know that Amazon could change policy, take down pages of policy and not follow it's own policies with no notice or redirect on the 'missing' pages or explanation of the reasons behind them

I didn't know I was supposed to be ok with Amazon removing their feedback rating from their warehouse account... giving them yet another unfair advantage while still holding us accountable to the things they couldn't do themselves. (their feedback was always in the 70's)

I didn't know Amazon would be ripping us off with the placement fees, and even increasing return fees soon enough.

Yeah if you guys could make sure you define what an "assault weapon" is .. so that when I follow amazons lead and sell the same products that I quit getting dinged for a restricted product, ironic its ONLY restricted if I sell (not Amazon). How abut hiring people that read and comprehend your policies. I hav been battling 4 restricted product violations that are CLEARLY not restricted products.
