If you sell non-food products in our EU-based stores, you can now prove your General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) compliance on the Account Health page.

Go to the Account Health page for a list of brands and offers that must be compliant with Amazon's GPSR policy by December 13, 2024. We’ll add more brands and offers over the coming weeks, so we recommend you check back regularly.

To comply, add the following information:

  • EU Responsible Person
  • Manufacturer contact
  • Warning and safety PDFs or images (or acknowledgement that this isn't required)

If you add new offers before December 13, 2024, you have to go to Account Health to submit the information listed above.

After December 13, if we become aware of non-compliant offers, such as those with invalid information or expired contracts, we will deactivate them.

We recommend that you prove compliance now to avoid the need to manage compliance requirements during the busy holiday season.

For more information, go to Submitting manufacturer, Responsible Person and warning and safety information.

For a summary of GPSR requirements, watch our new General Product Safety Regulation Video

Brand owners can now create localized images in all Amazon stores with the Country-Specific Upload tool in Image Manager.

Localized images can be more relatable to customers and help them to make better purchase decisions. For example, you can upload an image that contains text in the local language.

To use the tool, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Catalog and select Upload images.
  2. In the Bulk image upload section, click Upload here to access the Country-Specific Uploadtool.
  3. Click or drag your image into the Upload images section and select your desired country from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click Submit images.

To use this tool, you must have an active listing on the store you want to target.Images that are uploaded with this tool aren’t guaranteed to be displayed on the product detail page instead of global images.

Leverage the Country-Specific Upload tool to help simplify your global expansion.

If you sell non-food products in our EU-based stores, you must comply with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) by December 13, 2024.

To manage your GPSR compliance requirements, we've added a Safety and Product Resources section in the product detail page:

  • Your product images are now separate from the compliance-related images, documents, and information. This will showcase your marketing images and product information.
  • You can easily check whether the necessary compliance information is submitted.
  • The required compliance details are easy for customers to find.

If we become aware of noncompliant offers, such as those with invalid information or expired contracts, we will deactivate them.

We recommend that you prove your compliance now, before the busy holiday season.

For more information about the requirements, go to General Product Safety Regulation.

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), we’ll reduce domestic and Pan-EU FBA fulfillment fees rates by up to £1.60/€1.87 for small oversize products across our UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain stores. With lower fees, we aim to help you to offer a wider selection of small oversize products to customers.

Starting September 16, 2024, we’ll reduce FBA fulfillment fees for the following small oversize size bands and stores:

  • 12-30% reduction for all four small oversize size bands (for items ≤ 61 x 46 x 46 cm, up to 1.76 kg) in our UK, France, Italy, and Spain stores.
  • 22-28% reduction for two small oversize size bands (for items ≤ 61 x 46 x 46 cm, up to 1.26 kg) in our Germany store.

All other domestic FBA fulfillment fee rates in our UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain stores will remain unchanged. To view the updated rates, go to 2024 Fulfillment by Amazon fulfillment fee changes.

Amazon hit its fastest Prime delivery speeds ever so far this year in the USA and around the world, with more than 5 billion items arriving the same or next day globally. This is an increase of more than 30% year over year.

Our accelerating delivery speeds are helping both Prime members and sellers, with the majority of these five billion items delivered on behalf of sellers who usedFulfillment by Amazon.

We achieved faster speeds by focusing on three key initiatives:

  • Expanding our Same-Day Delivery network so we can get products to customers even quicker, with Same-Day Delivery in more than 120 USA metro areas.
  • Shortening the distance our deliveries have to travel to reach customers by regionalizing our fulfillment network.
  • Leveraging advanced machine learning algorithms to predict product demand and improve our inventory placement.

We’ve been able to deliver our vast selection of products at even faster speeds while continuing to improve safety. This was possible because our employees and delivery partners who are picking, packing, and driving to customers’ houses are doing the exact same thing whether an order arrives the same day, next day, or in two days. The speed improvements come primarily from regionalizing our network and placing products closer to customers.

As of December 30, 2024, the EU deforestation-free product regulation will introduce new regulatory requirements.

The regulation aims to prevent the consumption of products within the EU from contributing to global deforestation and forest degradation, and will affect cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, soya, and wood products. This includes products such as books, printer paper, wooden furniture, chocolate, and coffee beans. To confirm if your products are affected, review the table in Annex I of the regulation.

You may seek external legal advice to determine if your products are affected by this new regulation and to assess your obligations. We may request proof that your product listings comply with this regulation.

For more information, go to EU deforestation-free product regulation.

We recently updated our European VAT calculation services methodology for Business-to-Business (B2B) sales to ensure that VAT is applied accurately based on your country of establishment.

Starting September 11, 2024, information received from the relevant Tax Authority–such as the address or the format of your VAT Registration Number will take precedence over the Registered Business Address you provide to determine your establishment status (for the UK, Spain, or Italy).

If the information received from a Tax Authority indicates you’re non-established, non-resident domestic reverse charge rules will apply to your B2B domestic sales, in applicable countries, with no VAT applied rather than the local VAT rate.
