Country of manufacture not important anymore?
Hi Amazon,
Lately I have been noticing that it is harder and harder to find the country of manufacture on Amazon listings.
As a seller and buyer on Amazon it is still a very important factor to make a decision on what to buy, I myself will pay more to buy something from USA than China when possible.
For example ASIN B0BW9P1FG3 clearly shows country of manufacture but ASIN B00XOGDHC0 does not.
This is just one example.
Is it not a required field?
Why does it seem that Amazon is shielding China more and more trying to boost their products over USA made products?

Thanks for posting your question. A country of manufacture, also known as Country Of Origin (COO) is required on products that are shipped through FBA. The COO of a product is generally the country where the product was wholly produced or manufactured. You will find more information about this in the Providing Country of Origin information for your products page.
