Disbursement Nightmare!
Hi all,
I started the process of changing my entity to a LTD company about 4 weeks ago. Since then ive been unable to make disbursements, which i understand is normal during this process.
The process finished on the 21st of this month, and i got a message in my seller performance notifications saying i am now verified, but i am to this date still unable to disburse, with all of my funds stuck in the account level reserve.
I have contacted seller support numerous of times and they keep saying my account looks fine to them, so i would need to contact the verification team. They also keep on saying why funds go into the reserve, ive gone through the list and it cant be any of those. So i have contacted the verification team, also on numerous occasions, getting absolutely no where! Its got to the point where i need the funds urgently! I have taken Amazons up on the lending scheme, which was accepted, but now that has been added to the reserve also.
I feel hopeless at this point

I’m sure I had this once after verification and I couldn’t get anywhere…
In the end I have to confirm my bank account again, it only took a few hours and was so simple… I was so angry about it though, I’d made my way to £50,000 at this point in my account.
Worth checking bank account info, it didn’t show in performance notifications either, there was no warning on my account.
Really hope it’s that.

Obviously, I have no idea what Seller Support have told you, but they are notorious for not understanding the problem and/or giving wrong advice
The prupose of the Account Level Reserve is to ensure you have funds in your account to cover any immediate claims from buyers (Item not received, etc)
The process is that the proceeds from each sale are held until 7 days after the actual or last estimated delivery date. Each sale is treated separately, so two sales on the same date may be held for different periods, depending on the delivery date. Proceeds will go in and out of your reserve and will then be disbursed automatically, either every 7 or 14 days - I’m not sure why there is a difference but I suspect that new sellers are on a 14 day cycle, and older ones on 7 days
The timetable is, as an example,
Sale 1 November
Delivery date 15 November
Add 7 days = 22 November
Add up to 7 or 14 days, to your next auto-disbursement date = disbursement by 29 November or 6 December
Add a few more days for the money actually to reach your bank account and you can see that you have to allow about a month to get the money from any of your sales
There is nothing you can do about this and you will have to allow for it in your cash flow calculations
Repeatedly contacting Seller Support and the verification team will not help you, as you are probably just putting a new date on your case and going to the back of the queue

I had a similar issue earlier this year, turned out the bank details were corrupted on Amazon’s side - no help from Amazon, HSBC looked at my account and could see no requests or transactions coming from Amazon since the last payment made and tracked transactions going into them ending with the same last 4 digits based on what could be seen on the account page, concluding that Amazon were not sending transactions to my account but to other accounts ending in the same 4 digits with my name. - Re-entering the details resolved the issue within 30 minutes.

We’ve been selling on amazon for 5+ years, this has happened many times before, and we’re currently in this same situation for second time this month!! it’s ridiculous, and seller support have no idea what they’re talking about (as we all know) but here’s what they don’t know but we’ve discovered: basically if you’ve had the email from seller performance notifications saying that you are now verified, then you’ll have to wait until your next disbursement date for the funds to be released, it’s just how the stupid system works, but no one internally seems to be aware of this. your account will look fine (so seller support will say that there’s no problem) but your balance will say £0.00 AND will say £0.00 will be dispersed on your next disbursement, BUT what will actually happen is at midnight on the day of your next disbursement all of the funds will magically appear, and will automatically be sent to your bank account… the whole thing is a joke, and they shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it, but they do… by best advice is to diversify into other channels (Shopify!) so that hopefully one day you can leave all this BS behind! (that’s our current plan) I hope this helps.

So this morning i thought id send one last email to the lending team, i said again that i was unable to access my loan or any other funds + the replies i keep getting from the payments and disbursements team are useless. They replied with this, which was different to everything ive had so far:

We understand your concern is regarding the payments not being disbursed to your bank account.
Our Leadership Team will reach out to you within the next 4 to 6 hours.

Fast forward an hour or so and i now able to make disbursements again! Touch wood no more problems.
