Lost Featured Offer Due to "High Pricing" Despite Competitive Pricing & No Response from Support

Hello fellow sellers,

I need some advice regarding an ongoing issue with my listing, and I’m hoping someone has experienced something similar or has a solution.

I am the brand owner and the only seller of my product on Amazon. My product is not sold anywhere else, and my current price is the lowest on the internet. However, after raising my price from an initial launch discount to a sustainable and profitable price, I lost the Featured Offer due to an alleged “high pricing error.”

I'm simply not profitable at this price point and this is a high priced product, I'm talking about a 50$ difference that amazon simply wont allow me to raise the price, How do I solve this I contacted them over 5 times now and they are of no use.

What I’ve Done So Far:

I am enrolled in Automated Pricing with Min and Max price limits set.

I checked my Pricing Health section – no issues are listed.

I added comparison pricing details for similar products.

There are other competing products with the same or even higher pricing, yet they still hold the Featured Offer.

I have contacted Amazon Support over five times, but I keep receiving the same generic response stating my price is “significantly high” without any real explanation or resolution.

Hi @Seller_WaZbRSgHEbreI,

According to the Pricing Health page (link), Featured Offer eligibility considers both external pricing and your price history. The "Reference prices" section explains that Amazon looks at several factors, including your 60-day average selling price, which includes your initial launch discount.

If your Automated Pricing settings don't resolve the issue, you could try:

  • Temporarily returning to your launch price to regain Featured Offer status
  • Gradually increasing prices over time as your 60-day average adjusts
  • Note that the average updates based on your sales volume at each price point

Kind regards, Michael

Do slow price increases. It's horrible to have to do these things but we have sellers that sell illegal versions of our brand being dumped on Amazon at super low prices, then when they leave we can't raise price back to normal quickly without losing the buy box. Slowly crawl the price back up over days and weeks.

If you are the sole owner and maker/seller of the product why do you let Amazon control its price?

And if you are the sole owner how can you have "competition"?

Why does this not surprise me.. Quite often if theres an issue they'll give you a generic response they read from a manual based on your topic.. All sellers have experienced this type of so-called response. I know this is not a solution to your issue, just want you to know you're not alone.. Good luck!

Unfortunately, I have been fighting this issue since last year. Amazon mandates that I set my price at a certain amount.... I am the only seller, I have a registered brand, and there is no competition since I am selling my own artwork that I created.... I have to use the price Amazon specifies else I lose the buy box and it says there are "no featured offers."

If I try to increase the price incrementally even by one cent later, I lose the buy box. :(
